Donner’s rise to prominence continued in a big way with their large stand at this year’s summer NAMM, where they unveiled a whole slew of new products including some new guitars. Donner electric guitars are solid beginner and budget guitars. They offer great value, often come with accessories, are usually smooth playing, and sound good. Of course, sometimes Donner guitars suffer from budget guitar problems such as: The looks of the guitar are stunning, and I really liked the green version, which looks something between green, blue, and aqua with a transparent finish. Designed with “versatility in mind”, the DST-200 Designer Series is made for playing a multitude of genres, from pop to metal. Donner DST-400 is a great entry-level guitar for beginner guitarists. It is highly affordable, sounds good, feels highly comfortable, and is quite versatile. It can be preferred by younger musicians as well as adults as their first instruments. But, as it is a bit of a heavy guitar, it may not be suitable for kids. Tuners look beautiful, but are a bit below the average when compare to other guitars from this price range. They are not terrible and applying graphite to nut helps a little bit, so the tuning instability was partially the fault of the nut. But still, fine-tuning and overall tuning stability is not the best, but definitely not terrible either.
