About this deal

I think removing the grain from the film does give the “Get Back” footage more of the look of a videotape which makes viewing these sessions come to life in way that film doesn’t.

FWIW he went on to include Elvis, Dylan, The Stones, Zeppelin, Hendrix, and a few others - I generally regard him as rather clueless as to music history with his comments like that. I loved how Get Back does a far better job showcasing Billy’s talent on the keyboards and the band’s reaction to him than Let It Be did. So this is in fact my defacto bonus disc it’s just too bad that something like this couldn’t have been included in the official Blu-ray set. Peter Jackson directs this documentary series which depicts the making of The Beatles' 1970 album 'Let It Be'. fascinating but more casual observers will likely tire of it well before the third installment comes to a close. Directed by Peter Jackson, The Beatles: Get Back is a three-part documentary series that takes audiences back in time to the band's intimate recording sessions.

The series offers unprecedented access to the world’s most iconic band as they prepare to record the Let It Be album.

A winner at both the Producers Guild of America and American Cinema Editors Awards, The Beatles: Get Back is also Certified-Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes™. FWIW, Apple still insists Let It Be will come out some day, but they’ve literally been saying that for 20 years. The cameras zero in (with help from later editing by Jackson) on George’s eyes during the creative process of the song Get Back after George is figuratively pushed to the side while Paul and John share their own epiphanies.
