About this deal

For a makeup lover, falling in love with a high quality and affordable foundation is one of the most exciting experiences ever and today I am very excited because I have found not one, but two high quality, affordable foundations. Officially, CosIng (the official EU ingredient database) lists Aluminum Hydroxide 's functions as opacifying (making the product white and non-transparent), as well as emollient and skin protectant. I currently have a bit of a tan going on so even though Creamy Natural looks a bit light in hand swatches it’s a pretty decent match for my face. I've been testing these L'Oreal foundations for awhile (since end of last year) and I'm ready to give my opinion. It’s definintely built to last but at the same time, it’s quite a heavy look base compared to the lighter, dewier formulas I normally use (Lumi Magique, Tru Match, Chanel Healthy Glow).

This foundation feels like it would be too thin on first application, but it actually covers really well for the consistency straight out of the tube. L’Oreal recently came out with the Infallible Pro-Glow foundation for people with normal to dry skin and being someone with ultra dry skin I knew I had to give it a shot.

I am shade 108 caramel beige in Pro Matte, so in my mind I assumed 208 sun beige would probably be match to that shade ( I mean why wouldn’t it, right? In the two photos above, on the left I’ve applied a bit of Pro-Glow over skin that’s been moisturized lightly with Cetaphil — no argan oil, no Vanicream — and while it looks pretty good and natural overall, you can see that the fine lines of my hand are more noticeable on the left side compared to the right side where I’ve applied Pro-Glow over my usual skin care routine of argan oil, Cetaphil and Vanicream. I’ve read a lot of US blog reviews on this one and the last seems variable depending upon how dry/oily your skin is. I know it's been out for over a year now, but I still thought it warranted a review since it worked so much better than I imagined it would.

If you are looking for a foundation that provides great coverage yet looks very natural with a subtle glow – you will absolutely love the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation. Yes – definitely gives luminosity that doesn’t come from shine and yet, it feels smooth and hydrating which is quite spectacular in terms of formulation technique; it’s a fine line between dewy and shiny. When I wear foundation, I normally moisturize heavily because I have extremely dry skin and if I want my foundations to look good from day’s start to day’s end that’s what I need to do. As for skincare, it makes the skin silky smooth, creates a subtle gloss and forms a protective barrier (aka occlusive).A few people had told me that it wore similarly to a high-end foundation that I'd been using and loving for some time. Infallible Mattifying Primer - Speaking of my oily babes, this one is meant to be good for those that need a bit of extra help with slick control.

But, this foundation is a very lightweight on the skin and I can never feel it throughout the day on the skin. I do one pump of Vanicream in my hand, add an additional 3 drops of argan oil and work that all into my face: the argan oil for extra moisture and the Vanicream to lock all the moisturizers in place.According to famous dermatologist, Leslie Baumann while tocopheryl acetate is more stable and has a longer shelf life, it’s also more poorly absorbed by the skin and may not have the same awesome photoprotective effects as pure Vit E. I have the shade ‘107 – Fresh Beige’, which is way too orange for my skin, so I just had to try to make it work.

I love the finish that this has on the skin, it makes my skin look like it has a glow from within and while it does have a glow to it, it doesn't look dewy on the skin which I am a huge fan of! In comparison, L’Oreal does make a great Pro-Matte Foundation that is pretty similar to this, but slightly fuller coverage. See the chart below to find the shade that's right for you - just match versus your True Match shade.I love a foundation that makes me look glowy, dewy and lit from within, could this be the one to do it?
