No, I’m not going to leave you stranded there with an armload of products and a whimper. Here’s how to put all of your newfound knowledge to use: STEP 0: Final “reset” wash

Rinse completely to avoid a visible film. Step 3 DRY & STYLE My issues are that my waves are just sort of flat, not really defined, there’s not much volume and it’s incredibly frizzy. I also tend to get an oily scalp the day after washing. With all things, there are positives and negatives for this method. Heat tools (like flat-irons, curling irons, etc., though the occasional diffuser on low heat is okay) The only reason I started experimenting with other gels was to see if there was a cheaper brand that would work just as well. What: A lso called “co-washes” or “no-poo” and are essentially rinse-out conditioners used as shampoo. Many curl types (and all coil types) don’t do well with drying detergents—they only need water, moisture, and a thorough scalp massage (like, you should be massaging your co-wash into your roots for at least 60 seconds) to get clean. Do not brush your hair except when wet and only with a wide-tooth comb or simply your fingers (this is what I do).Smooth conditioner over hair in sections, until all hair has been coated with conditioner. Let the water distribute the product evenly. So, don’t throw in the towel on CGM!
