Hi, I don't usually post, but, seeing as how your cocoa is the Aldi's brand, I just wanted to say, regarding the comment about instant milk prices, the Aldi instant milk is delicious and priced well. I have used it for years. I live it compared to bottled skim milk. What I do though is measure 1/2 cup powder (instead of the 1/3 cup) to the 8 oz water. My family can't tell the difference, either if I use it to lighten something up. Nancy - I am SO sorry. Clearly the cold has gotten my brain to freeze. It is one tablespoon for 2 ounces and I have fixed the recipe above. Thank you for your comment (and for helping me out)!

Feel free to mix in mini marshmallows or a little cayenne pepper (or both) to customize it to your liking. In a large bowl, mix sugar, cocoa powder, dry milk powder, salt and cornstarch. Store in a Mason jar or plastic container. When ready to use, shake the container, and add 1 tablespoon of mix for every two ounces of hot water or hot milk. Mix thoroughly in your cup.
