Who knew that almost three decades after the original The Karate Kid trilogy, the saga would be given a new lease of life in the form of a premium YouTube series, Cobra Kai. This works pretty well, and if you time it right, you’ll grab an enemy around the ankles and launch them towards the screen.

As a beat ‘em up, you’ll traverse the levels in a side-scrolling manner, clearing out any enemies that are present, before advancing forward – a fairly standard trope for these types of games. Miyagi-Do's next destination is the Beach Bonfire where they find Yasmine, who is upset at Miyagi-Do for showing up at her party uninvited.

This was one of the biggest highlights of Cobra Kai The Karate Kid Saga Continuesgameplay, mixing up specials with combos and then finishing them off by using objects around you, pressing the R1 button. Additionally, every character has four special moves to unlock, which are all very cool and easy to initiate; as an honorary member of Cobra Kai, I especially love how Miguel’s moves, like the flying double kick, fit him perfectly. Missed opportunity of Co Op limiting to only 2 player couch rather than 4 player online reminiscent to TMNT on the arcades. Whether you’re wanting to represent team Johnny or team Daniel, Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues has got you covered by presenting two story campaigns. Their next destination is Oaks on the Beach Club, where they find Trey and get information that he was under instructions by the same martial artist to pass out falsified tournament fliers.The thing is, the Terry we meet is well-adjusted and happy to live his life as a (seemingly) retired entrepreneur with a hot vegan girlfriend. Using the elements to identify each other wasn’t the best, in my opinion, and while realism isn’t the focus, some of the effects in Cobra Kai The Karate Kid Saga Continues are a bit over the top, and special effects will appear mid-screen, overlapping other graphical elements. There's still so much gold to mine here, in what feels like a penultimate season, that it's hard to fault Cobra Kai too much for short-sheeting the finale of this batch of episodes. Standard button presses are punch, kick, jump and counter and holding the L2 button as a modifier will do a dojo special, the R2 button for the individual’s special move.
