The Ender 3 Neo series, released in 2022 as a revamp of past Ender 3 models, all include this extruder. One of the hardware features which makes the Ender 3 S1 such a good machine is the Sprite Extruder and Creality is also selling this as an upgrade for other machines. In a pinch, you can rectify a worn extruder gear by moving it slightly up or down the shaft so the worn-down section is no longer contacting the filament. It seems that the tiny radial part cooling paired with the airflow over the heatsink gives excellent results. I genuinely think that going this route will make it easier on yourself, but do what you think best. On the printer controller, navigate to Control -> Motion -> Steps/mm, and adjust the Esteps/mm value to 424. Of course, there’s no reason to purchase the regular extruder if you have a different printer, and you want to upgrade to the Sprite Extruder.It’s imprtant that the extruder provides consistent force to move the filament, since either too much or too little flow will result is poor quality prints, or total failure to print in extreme cases.
